PHILIP R. CROESSMANN, AIA Esq.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Croessmann
co-founded the Matrix Design Companies where he currently serves as president of Matrix IMA an architectural firm specializing
in forensic, litigation support and expert witness services and as a principal/general counsel of the Matrix Design Companies.
Previously, Mr. Croessmann also served as a lobbyist and deputy general counsel for the American Institute of Architects
in Washington, D.C. Mr. Croessmann is also active in industry associations. He is a member American
Institute of Architects and was on the Board of Directors and the 2004 President of the Northern Virginia Chapter of the AIA.
He is active in the Associated Builders and Contractors of Virginia and the American Bar Association’s Construction
Fourm. He has also served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and is actively involved in alternative
dispute resolution

JIM G. FOSTER, AIA
Mr Foster is a highly motivated professional with a record of accomplishments spanning over 30 years.
He has acquired a unique set of skills and experience working both in the private and public sectors as a Senior Project
Architect, Building Official, Plans Examiner, Building Inspector, Forensic Architect, Expert Witness, Permit Facilitator and
City Architect. Areas of strength include: Project Management – Construction Administration – Quality Control
– Production Supervisor – Consultant Coordination – Excellent verbal and written communications– Staff
mentoring & supervision – ADA/DSA Specialist – Due Diligence Reports – Planning/budgeting/scheduling

RICHARD FLOOD, AIA
As Matrix IMA's technical expert, Rick Flood concentrates on quality assurance and constructability analysis of design
projects, complex design and construction disputes, and remedial design of defective construction. He has more than 40 years
of experience in architectural production and construction administration, coupled with a solid background in building systems
and materials usage, technical detailing, specifications, and fire and water performance testing on subjects such as curtain
walls and laboratory mock-ups.
